January 25, 2008i just noticed that this online journal is slowly becoming a photoblog.
why?
because its the perfect cover-up when i have nothing…no witty, crazy, weird story to post.
when im having the overused excuse called writer’s block.
when im feeling the urge of splattering my cam whoring self all over the intarnetz.
when i suddenly joined a post-themed-pictures-every-week-for-(insert excited face here)-fun blogging event .
when im so effing busy at work i can’t even spare a good five minutes infront of my computer.
when im always so energy-zapped-tired that i fall asleep on my laptop keyboard (i swear!).
when the bebe keeps on asking if ive posted anything new on my blog.

so me and my regular lunchdate were trying to align our schedules in order for us to meet for lunch after not seeing each other for atleast a month and a half due to busy-ness. it was a painful attempt to look for an open date on our calendars for each of us. our search was futile. it was a failure. we dint see much of each other on the last 2 weeks of december and it seems that january would end without her bitching over the fact that im just having Greek Salad for lunch while she orders a medium Manager’s Pizza and a wholeplate of Mojo Potatoes.
il give you a sneak peek on why its impossible for me to sit down for a leisurely lunch these days:

- Gave proposal to the Office of the Mayor in Sto. Tomas, La Union
il stop now. you see, my work is meeting up with politicians everyday, attend their mundane meetings, conduct orientations for their constituents, make sure we have enough flyers and posters and brochures to go around for continouos promotion of the company, setting up appointments, going to appointments, lay-outing, making reports, checking reports….aaaaaaacccckkkkkk
i haven’t had a rest day in two weeks.
but im loving what im doing. you meet different kinds of people everyday and deal with different types of personalities that it becomes…errrrrr…fun…lolz
but we’ll be having lunch next week. woooohooo! and il be ordering chicken to go with my salad this time.

the bebe bought me a new phone as a surprise gift because ive been working my ass off and he thinks i deserve somthing for being a semi-workaholic who gets the job done…

January 14, 2008for the first time since i started work at the new company (which was on the 1st week of november), i never missed a workday.
no absence. no logging out early. just late for 2 minutes about twice.
i went to work once on a sunday after partying the night before…i barely had 3 hours sleep…i was allover my keyboard trying to figure out what i was doing at the office when i should have just called in sick to sleep the whole day…but i stayed…until 6pm…playing online games in between napping and doing reports…
i had a dog bite scare (which is really not a dogbite but an eeny weeny scratch on one of my legs) where out of paranoia, i insisted on going to the hospital 3 hours later at 10pm after i got the scratch to have 2 really painful shots…then went to La Union in the morning at 9 to do business in 2 nearby municipalities and was on a bus home by 12nn…my eeny weeny scratch was still stinging and my left arm still hurt from one of the shots…then i stayed at the office until past 7…going absent dint even cross my mind…
but today was different…i really can’t get myself to go to work…i was feverish…just a little…but i dint want to push my body to its limits and end up getting really sick instead…so at 8am, i called in sick…
i was thinking of going to work on my next day-off to compensate this one absence but i thought, what the hell…im not that workaholic…

so…i joined a 100-film challenge for 2008…i love movies and DVD marathons and lounging and i was a couch potato in my past life…sort of…ive watched a couple already…some on DVD, some on cable television (Star Movies i love) and one at the theatre…

okay. so i found out about PhotoHunt while mindlessly surfing the net…me and the bebe love photos…whether taking them or being in them…i have loads of photos and im just so psyched to join this…err…contest? nway, this week’s theme is "Skinny" and the bebe picked this photo from our La Union trip on new year’s…that’s my bro btw and yes, he is skinny in real life…so yeah, i took it literally.

the happy’s 2007 year ender!
January 7, 2008yey! finally started with overhauling my blog template…im gonna go back to my pinks and greens…nway, still lots to do like updating my links and sidebars but…arrghh…one day at a time…wakokoko
i felt weird while doing my year ender…2007 was life-changing for me especially that this was the year where i made a huge decision to stop kidding myself and find a job that’ll make me sing in the shower every morning…it was uneventful at first but once i got a new job on a small yet fun company, i felt like ive finally done something right…
in a span of almost 3 months, i am now fully loving what im doing and that even if it takes me away from my usual mundane activities (like sleeping infront of the boob tube watching endless dvd’s while pigging out on take out pizza), i feel like im finally doing something for myself…
oh yeah, cliche’d as it is, 2007 is one hell of a rollercoaster ride, especially if you include that one instance where i almost got hitched (but that’s another story shelved away in my archives)…
so here it is, my own little personal 2007 year ender!
january was the month of endless DVD watching…cooking…and office ranting/office hangovers…
february was mcdreamy and more ranting and flower festival madness …
march was for travelling and pigging out and pseudo-diets…
i was 24 on April, relieved my amazing race series affair, more hangovers and on the verge of a major meltdown…
i gained salvation on May after i resigned form my corporate/slave job and found fulfillment…
i was a self-proclaimed bum on June and July and played with my free spirit…best days…
realized my love for teaching and went on with it from August to September…
went back to bumming on October, had another pseudo-diet, went emo over yamagata and spektor songs and bonded with my dad…
four years with the bebe on November, catapulted back to my airsoft addiction, out of town trips, more drinking but less hangovers and a big comedy over a failed coup…
started the December festivities early with a lingering affair with vodka tonic and red wine, amused with all the cursing on hell’s kitchen, became an igorota for a day and planned the first 6 months of my 2008…

this is my first post for 2008!
well im just gonna keep this short and sweet for the meantime. been working like a maniac since i came back on the 2nd. but have tons of pictures and a little late year-ender post that is still in the works.
but how was the start of my year? its rad! in the span of 48 hours, ive had my old boss knocking on my door trying to pirate me back and im about to close 2 big deals that will bring in a lot of moolah for the company (and for me too…wehehe)…so yeah, 2008 is definitely THE year! i can just feel it up to the tips of my eeny-weeny toes!
will be back with my year ender!
