a coup lead by a bunch of girls
November 30, 2007yeah yeah. so there was a sort-of-coup last thursday. il describe it in three words: pathetic. OA. boring. *rolls my eyes in disgust*
i was at the office that time. watching youtube videos and basically relaxing since ive just finished the paperwork i was due that day. then our OPS head, who just came back from a quick trip to the cafeteria, gave the news of the rustle that's goin on in manila pen. we went straight to gma.tv and got updates every 5 mins or so.
my first reaction was, AGAIN?
second reaction? BAKET SA SOSYAL NA LUGAR ULIT?
third reaction. ANO NANAMAN DRAMA NI TRILLANES?
and yes, after 6 hours or so it was over. with NO BALLS Trillanes waving the white flag. whatever. loser.
so what did his little pa-drama effetct do for our country? nothing good. except of course, disrupting a wedding reception, displacing a huge number of hotel guests (most of them businessmen from other countries), causing physical damage (read: tank ramming into the hotel's glass doors) and istorbo (as my friend conan whose work is located infront of the posh hotel stated later in the evening during YM). and how can i forget, another blow to the economy of this third world country whose trying hard to stand up on its feet amidst being continously pulled down by corrupt government officials and yes, most of them pea-brained and doesn't have balls…like someone i know.
thank god nobody waved placards in support of these bunch of girls.
if given the chance, id skin them alive…using sandpaper. oh yeah.

November 27, 2007i woke up with a headache. the bebe decided that having an internet connection is far more important than letting me sleep for atleast a good hour more…thing is, he woke up and went straight to the laptop only to find out that our internet connection is down…and since ive been a tech support slave for 2 years, its been programmed in me to try to fix first the connection before calling for help (yeah im nagmamagaling like that), but within reason because i know my limitations…but luckily, ive been succesful in my troubleshooting endeavors here at home so far…i just have to deal with our internet problem at the office when i get there later (hello Bayantel, wala ng bagyo dito!)

knife kill hurrah! airsoft pix part I
November 25, 2007i was tempted to blog about work for the past week…cuz ive been doin nothing but work for the past 2 weeks or so (which isn't reason enough since id rather post something worth reading than rant about work-induced stress)…
right now, im just happy because of 2 reasons:
1st, our new corporate logo i rallied for was approved by the board…at last! that is like a green signal for me to push through with my marketing plan to overhaul the company's image…and yeah, its copyrighted so no sneaky moves! the logo was designed by sir norman (airsoft team mate) so super big thanks to him!
2nd, i got to play airsoft again after 6 months! and at my favorite jungle gamesite at that! was super fun and bodyache the next day as usual…oh yeah, im currently suffering here at the office trying my best to be a big girl because my back and thighs are burning like hell from all the running and crouching and rolling the day before…i quote myself from an old post taken months ago from when i had an airsoft hiatus and suffered the same way the day after playing: (February 2007):
i woke up and my body felt like lead. my whole body was on fire and it took so much effort just to sit up or down, walk up or down the stairs and even if i had to lie down or get up from bed! i was in hell for 3 days. painkillers became my bestfriend for the past week. but who cares, its already saturday…its been a week and we have another game tomorrow! im crazy. im definitely crazy over airsoft.
dint have a camera with me though so il just post the 1st batch of pix uploaded my Mayhem….enjoy!
p.s. i had a knife kill moment! yey! that was an ultimate career high for me!

question: what is knife kill as used in airsoft?
answer: to tap you opponent or whistle him. it should only be applicable at a 4 feet below distance from your enemy. its purpose in real life combat situations is to kill an enemy without giving away your position.

workaholic at 2 in the morning
November 17, 2007im up my elbows with stress. no im not complaining…not at all. and no im not even trying to be sarcastic. honest.
a week ago, i signed a contract to be a trainer. a Contact Center Industry Skills trainer to be exact.
a week after that, i was offered a marketing position. same company. i had second thoughts…but opportunities like this don't come knocking on my door everyday. inside me i really wanted to teach. but the stars of the universe aligned themselves in a way that allowed me another option. and what an option it is. because if i don't suck or do anything damaging after 6 months, i might find myself on top of an organizational chart in that department.
i accepted the position. then i faced a storm.
the company im in now needs some serious PR overhaul. its not that its in danger of closing or something similar to that…its target market/s is everywhere, actually not difficult to grasp on. let's just say, IT has a little difficulty grasping its target market/s…its like IT just needs some good rehabilitation to get it back on its feet…
i knew that my bumming days are way, waaaayyy history when for a week straight, i can't get myslef to sleep without fighting my brain for it to shut down.
marketing is not at all glamorous…there's nothing fancy and shimmery about it…
but right now, i want to stab myself because im about to admit that even if im slowly drowning in paperwork and client numbers and schedules and follow-up this & that…i still find myself enthusiastic about it…
i haven't cooked a decent meal for my Be and my bro for almost 2 weeks…hell i haven't cooked anything for them for almost 2 weeks…
as of 30 minutes ago, ive been informed that the new corporate logo i wanted to present to the big boss tomorrow is good for presentation in the morning…
yey…
one down, a kadillion more to go on my checklist.

crap i can't think of anything…
but everything's cool…im still alive, that's what's important…
and yeah, isn't studying company sales trend and updating marketing plans every hour super exciting?
