2006 flashback

ive been working for more than a week now even if the holiday bug is still stuck in my butt. argh. don't you hate the corporate world? makes you wish that you're a hilton and just party every single day or run your own business, be your own boss and go on extended, extended, super extended vacations because you don't need to worry about getting paid anyway because you have your own black hole. a bottomless pit that sucks in cash for you for eternity. sigh. i could just dream on. besides, with me slowly becoming a poster child for obesity, i would never pass as a hilton. another loud and heavy sigh.anyway, that is not the point of this post because out of nowhere, i decided to do a flashback of what was 2006 for me. a little cheesy but whatever, everybody does flashbacks.

january
had a toasted siopao + Lipton Green Tea addiction. had an insane moment when i considered teaching english to Korean kids. vowed never, ever to blog while surfing at internet cafes. got pissed with the evil clipboard-lady from work. got an IR from work. went ballistic at a fastfood joint. became a  cookie/pistaschionut monster gone mental. had eye-migraine inducing dvd marathons. rode on a cabbie with a driver who boasts he's an expert in
speaking french and spanish. my bro, amidst telling everyone how he loathes his course (ECE), made it to the dean's list. got revenge on the clipboard-lady. my mom reminded me that im slowly becoming an elephant. wanted to be a penguin. had the convo of the century when my dad brought up the topic of me and my Be settling down. answered GKNB? 1-million question correctly for the 5th time.

february
had a 3-hour-energy-zapping-brain-melting-call. ranted about the Ultra Tragedy. went crazy over McDonald’s caramel sundae. read bob ong's Stainless Longganisa.

march
watched a concert with VIP tickets. more DVD marathons. had a funny scare. was on sick leave for a week. attempted to go to work on corporate attire and ditched the outfit the next day. was trained to use a new software for work. attempted to go on a diet…and failed miserably.

april
moved a new apartment. was suicidal for a day. started posting pictures. relieved love affair with online games. turned 23.

may
had a mini reunion with the guys from White & Blue. harvested mangoes at my lola's farm in La Union. had a post birthday bash. had a quickie crush with jamie oliver.

june
me and my Be celebrated 30 months of being together with friends. celebrated BJ and Tyler winning the Amazing Race 9. endless DVD marathons. almost had a haircut. wolfed on home-made tacos. indulged on The Da Vinci Code hype.

july
had an Amazing Race-like road trip with my Be. watched Korean meldramas Windstruck and The Classic for a kadillion times. had a short-lived crush with Brandon Routh after watching Superman Returns. was brandished by Typhoon Florita. got hooked watching Tyra. went to work for a week wearing flip flops and got away with it. went ga-ga over cupcakes and popsicles. obsessed on Wikimapia. perfected my ground pork recipe for meatballs.

august
mesmerized with Sukob. got hooked with cuteoverload.com. moved to day shift. became a flip flop/hoodie monster at the office. had persistent bronchial asthma attacks due to stress. grieved over the Guimaras Spill. my Be turned 25.

september
became Paranoid Girlfriend of the Year for a week or so. contemplated on putting up a Food Blog. became a Microsoft Tech Support Agent for 4 hours only to disappoint myself in the end.

october
celebrated 1st year blogsary. watched The Devil Wears Prada and fell inlove with Simon Baker. got back to the Amazing Race fever. re-read william golding's Lord of the Flies. second attempt to go on a diet and again, failed miserably. splurged on several old time favorite children's books. watched DOA.

november
had a work schedule to die for. celebrated 3rd year anniversary with my Be. had a Rachael Ray moment. my Food Blog was born. bitched at the office for 3 days due to consistent call qeue (250 freakin' calls waiting!). got addicted to Airsoft.

joind a big Airsoft event: Operation Cold Dagger. endless DVD marathons. morphed into a sloth and became a real life DVD Marathons Queen-slash-Couch Potato Advocate. became obsessed with anything and everything that is Airsoft. bought my very own camo blanket that every airsofter envied. bad mouthed IE 7.0. had an office crushie. had an amazing hangover that was never felt in 2 years. celebrated christmas with family. more hang-overs. celebrated new year with just my Be.
