SM 3-Day Sale: they’ve got it all for you! (including migraines)
October 15, 2006what is the crappiest way to spend a sunny and warm Sunday?
a. stay attached infront of the boob tube the whole day watching re-runs of long-forgotten television soap operas.
b. spend the entire day cleaning up my wardrobe.
c. spend the entire day cleaning up the whole house.
d. all of the above.
e. none of the above.
the answer? fuckin’ none of the above!
why? because i spent my warm and sunshiney Sunday at work, in front of my PC trying to please our erratic/crazy/stupid/half-senile customers who have no life and nothing left to do but pester tech suport agents at 2 in the morning (their time)! in other words: im stuck in a black hole. in short: i have a sucky (carreer) life. so, im a loser.
……
okay, ranting over…let’s get into the ligter side of news!
so we went to SM yesterday to watch a movie and ended up having to swim our way through hoards and hoards of eager-beaver shoppers! its SM 3-Day Sale! hooray! its that time of the year again when the super mall decides that more than half of their merchandise have been sitting in their display cabinets since the start of time so they thought, ” why don’t we tag them at Php99.99 and put up huge banners saying we’re on sale!” and after that, lo and behold, people actually buy them! pathetic. but anyway, i still pushed my way through moms and lola’s and a bunch of giggling teenagers diving their way through boxes of clothes/pillows/comforters to get into one of the bookstores who usually sell as low as Php10-20 on classic books and hard-to-find novels (if you’re patient and brave enough to fight all odds of funny-smelling books and layers upon layers of dust). but i was happy cuz i was able to score 2 children’s books im so after: Mary Poppins and James and the Giant Peach. there was also The Indian in the Cupboard, Return of the Indian and The Secret of the Indian. i had to contain myself from jumping up and down with glee! ive always dreamed of publishing a children’s book so everytime i get the chance to get my hand on any classic children’s book, i grab it with so much gusto!
so yeah, we watched DOA: Dead or Alive. my verdict: it was a cool movie. not boring, doesn’t have that WOW factor although my eyes were glued to the big screen all through out the movie…which is a sign i liked the movie. and yeah, geebee’s raving on buying a dvd copy of it (hello? Pirates of the DVD World!). also watched The Covenant and although the trailer made the movie very interesting, the movie it self is bitin. it could have been a good story though, but hey, maybe there’s a sequel!
okay, im out…im so pooped…can’t wait to have a shut-eye…hope y’all had an amazing weekend!
