and the list goes on
July 31, 2006weeee its the end of the month! nothing special (except that today’s payday, of course).

so what did i do during my 1-day off? what else but hog the living room couch and watch endless television. i was even able to catch a replay telecast of the Miss Universe 2006 pageant at Star World. ummm yeah…Miss Puerto Rico is your typical beauty pagent-ish so i was not surprised when she was announced winner, although Miss Mexico was very pretty and i honestly thought that Miss Japan would make it. and yeah, Miss Philippines did not make it to the top 20 but atleast won Miss Photogenic (as always). okay enough on beauty pageants. *yawn*

i was not myself lately. day by day, i feel tired and bored and lazy and feel not a drop of enthusiasm in my body. heck its been mirrored on my posts how lame i feel lately. there’s just no spirit. maybe im getting tired of my job again. maybe i should stop coming to work on flip flops, drawstring pants and hoodies because it makes me feel so tamad. or because i got sick for a week days ago that i still feel drugged from all the meds i had to take. or maybe im depressed. argh i hate what im feeling right now. help, i need help! *falls on the floor*

im here at the office right now, 7 hours into my shift and i had nothing except crackers and a bottle of mineral water. no, im not on a diet (i gave up months ago) and no, im definitely not trying to kill myself. i dunno…the last time i ate anything decent was yesterday…and decent is an understatement because i hade yang chow fried rice, buttered chicken, sweet and sour pork and your typical pancit canton (i told you im not on a diet). maybe i ate too much that’s why after almost 12 hours i still feel full. i could still taste the buttered chicken in my mouth. though im having a sudden craving for spaghetti right now while i type this. not the one you buy at the nearest fastfood joint. i want some homemade spaghetti. i think il whip one tonight for dinner and i hope geebee wont mind. yes, il put together a spaghetti dinner tonight. yum.

i was able to catch the premiere of Philippine Idol last night and it was hilarious! but il be looking forward to it because there were 2 contestants who, physically have no star quality at all (not that im an expert on that), but i like them both because a) the guy has presence and he’s able to make me laugh and b) the girl looked like she came straight from an anime’ cosplay event but she was able to belt out a broadway song without breaking a sweat (as requested by ryan cayabyab because apparently her audition piece was the OST of Voltes V, which she was able to sing without batting an eyelash).

ive finally perfected the art of mixed ground pork used for meatballs and lumpiang shanghai.
here’s my recipe:
ingredients:
1/2 kilo ground pork*
2 medium-sized carrots, minced or shredded
2 stalks of celery, minced
1 large white onion, minced
10 cloves of garlic, minced
a handful of minced parsley
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves or 1 tbsp. freshly minced basil leaves
1 tsp. black ground pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
3 tbsp. tomato catsup
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 egg
cornstarch to thicken mixture
>>>mix all the ingredients in one big bowl, make sure the mixture is thick and not watery. try to fry a small patty and taste the result and from there you can add more salt, pepper or even chili powder depending on your taste.
*ground beef, chicken and turkey can be substituted.

maybe i should stop coming to work on flip flops, drawstring pants and hoodiesHow I wish I can go to work like that. But the company I'm interning at is pretty corporate. Bleagh.Speaking of Miss Universe 2006, I heard Ms Puerto Rico fainted at the after party and Ms Japan ran off backstage (to cry maybe, or throw a bitch fit, haha) right after the crowning. So much drama! *flicks hair
