an excuse to rant

this blog is soooo outdated! ampf.

anyway, just got back from a stressful 2-day off…my lola’s burial was as hectic as it can be…and add to that the sleepless last 2 nights of her wake plus the scorching heat…aargh… so as a result, im down with sore throat and body pains and a slowly creeping fever. but since im crazy, im here at work and is adamantly depending on antibiotics and bottles of water to keep me alive through my 9-hour shift. bad thing: our clinic’s closed (its a saturday…aaarrgghhh) yet good thing: im on day shift. another good thing, my vacation leave (note: PAID vacation leve) has been approved and il be off for 4 days next week (waahhh i know i sound pathetic, 4 days cannot be called a vacation but what the heck, better than nothing).

and i know ive become bad in promising. haven’t uploaded photos yet so this post is gonna be as blah as the author. but il pull through. just give me a few more days and il be back to my 1-post-per-day self.

as of now, just let me rant on the bitter aftertaste of medicine. yech.

*on a lighter note: its true when they say that kind words can lighten one up at any given day. i just had that experience.

scenario:

im on a very looong call, running at 1 hour and 20 mins already, my customer is slow and keeps on saying how illiterate she is on computers and i have to repeat my instructions about 5x before she gets it. im ready to bash my head on my monitor cuz im just so sick and the pills ive been popping in my mouth for the last 6 hours have not been helping, when finally with the help of an unknown computer god, she gets connected! i was just too woozy to react to her excitement of being able to check her emails when she suddenly asked for a supervisor. uh-oh. its either i will get commended or i would get a whipping for having such an extended call. so i shoved my headset to one of my supervisors and guess what?

supervisor: blah blah blah blah…..yada yada yada…thank you for those kind words, ma’am, im glad to know our agent is able to assist you well…blah blah blah…

so i was giddy for the next 10 seconds or so. why not? i haven’t had a commendation in 2 months or so…i needed that one little pick me up and it worked. that’s why im blogging right now. teehee

*in other news: we had a hail storm today! here! in baguio city! it was scary/exciting! the last time i experienced a hale storm here in baguio was during my elementary days, although they always have hail storms further up (benguet) it is unlikely for us baguio people to experience one here everyday. but it was exciting, and it added to the extreme cold we’re experiencing right now. so well, that’s it, just though its worth blogging about.
