part 1: post-birthday bash
April 20, 2006i had a blastful “weekend”. well, i had my 2-days off (tues and weds…eeek) and it was set aside for a post-birthday bash. all geebee’s plan, actually because i intended to sleep off for 2 days by attaching myself on the sofa with all the throw pillows and a cashmere blanket and with Lifestlye Network and ETC Channel and Disney Channel lulling me to neverland. but by monday, geebee went like: “please whip up your white fettucinee with fesh green salad and il invite kuya randy and ate tet and edison over for dinner on tuesday night.” fine.
so tuesday morning after work, i went straight to market to grab some red lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and carrots, green bell peppers and a fresh bundle of parsley. then off to the grocery for the pasta ingredients. was home by 10 and my back aches a lot. by 4pm after chopping and shredding ang crying buckets of tears over large white onions, i realized i forgot to buy bacon for the pasta. almost flew to the market for some and added in a small of jar of strawberry preserve and an additional pack of cream i intended to mix with my peach-melba-with-a-twist dessert.
by 7pm the dining table is waiting for hungry visitors and im lying on the sofa wearing my pyjamas and a tank top trying to catch some zzz’s before the party starts.
all in all it was hectic but waaayyy fun. then yet, a lot happened the day after which of course, is another story. well this is just like a pre-post. il tell the longer version once i had the pictures downloaded and resized. for now, im back to work so im bitching off!
