happy birthday to me
April 14, 2006today i turn 23. its a bittersweet birthday. i miss my dad who also celebrates his birthday on the 14th. my mom and siblings are down in La Union. i slept half the time. there were no birthday cakes or “happy birthday to you” singing. i had a spat with geebee 10 minutes before going to work. i have to go to work.
but then again, there’s a lot to be thankful of. another year to prove myself, to follow my dreams and live my life.
and besides, getting married at 23 is not that bad.
